Pumphouse demolition
We'll be having a work party at 9:00 am on 12 November to begin demolishing the upper pumphouse, located in the storage lot, in order to prevent the collapsing structure from becoming a hazard. If you attend, please bring heavy work gloves and eye protection. Also, feel free to bring sledgehammers, crowbars, chainsaws, sawzalls, and any other implements of destruction that may prove useful. 19 November is currently scheduled as a rain date. On Saturday November 21 the Indian Rest Association will be renting a brush chipper for 8 hours to clear the brush in the boat storage area and several other common areas. We need volunteers to work approximately 4 hours. The chipper will be available for anyone who needs it after we have finished the association areas. We will start chipping at 8:00 AM in the boat storage area. We will reschedule if rainy weather is forecasted..

Because we will by tying the floats up in a cove this year instead of using the dock ways, we no longer need to do the removal right at the 1:47 high tide. Please note that October 10th is scheduled as a rain date, and also for members from out-of-town who will be at Indian Rest for Columbus Day weekend.

Provided enough people attend, we plan to flip the floats upside down in preparation for spring maintenance.
